Simple configuration

The system architecture of the ACS2000 has a simple structure: Every counting head and every track section is assigned to a fail-safe board. As the individual boards are pre-configured during manufacture, configuration takes place exclusively via the hardware. This means that no specific knowledge or software tools are required in order to commission them.

Customer-specific requirements can also be implemented by means of a variety of pre-configured boards.

Universal interface

Using open and universal hardware interfaces means that the ACS2000 can be simply and reliably integrated into different applications, including interlockings, level crossings, signalling systems or other applications.

The output of the track section clear/occupied status takes place via voltage-free relay contacts, while additionally generated information data can also be transmitted via an optocoupler.

The outdoor equipment is composed of the sensor, mounted on one of the running rails, the trackside connection box and the cables that connect them. As is the case with all Frauscher axle counting systems, this equipment is also based on the Frauscher RSR180 and RSR123 wheel detection systems. These wheel sensors are mounted on one of the running rails easily, quickly and without the need for drilling, using rail claws. This reduces the time spent by personnel in a hazardous area to a minimum.

The data from the sensor are transmitted to the indoor equipment. This is where the information is forwarded on via an evaluation board to the axle counting board of the ACS2000, which makes the acquired data available to higher-level systems via a universal hardware interface.

Universal hardware interfaces ensure it is easy to achieve a wide variety of applications. Individual applications can be implemented in a flexible way via an optocoupler or relay outputs on the basis of pre-configured boards. This enables the ACS2000 to be rapidly integrated into interlockings, level crossings, signalling systems and a multitude of other applications.
