The Role

The Operations Manager will oversee both the Order Processing and Application Engineering functions. Working closely with the team leaders, the Operations Manager will ensure that the day to day planning scheduling, resourcing and execution are delivered to the highest standard.

The Operations Manager will play a key role in working as part of a wider team, liaising with the wider Engineering team to coordinate delivery and to identify improvements across the department and wider company.

Your main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead the Order Processing and Application Engineering functions
  • Project Manage customer projects to achieve delivery deadlines and high customer service standards
  • Continuously look for opportunities to develop both the teams and the departments
  • Identify and understand process bottlenecks and inconsistencies, and work closely with key stakeholders to develop processes
  • Liaise with Order Processing and Sales in Frauscher HQ to help resolve escalated or high priority issues
  • Oversee process documentation and KPIs for the departments, working closely with the Quality Manager to drive continuous development

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor Degree or similar experience preferred
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and implement/improve processes
  • Strong attention to detail/accuracy
  • Highly organised and resourceful with good time management skills
  • Strategic planning and execution
  • Budgeting, forecasting and company financials
  • Experience in an engineering environment
  • Good IT Skills and able to learn new IT tools quickly
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Confident and proactive with a can-do attitude and a good team player
  • Ability to build relationships both externally and internally
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Keen to develop with the business
