The project design stage takes place following detailed analyses of basic conditions and accurate measurement of interference. This creates the basis for choosing the most suitable technology and system architecture. The next stage consists of the production of the detailed design and the bill of quantities, based on the track layout.

Trials

Trials

Test installations are provided free of charge to verify the reliability of the system under the customer-specific basic conditions. On the other hand, this provides the crucial basis for product optimisation and new developments. What is more, field tests form a significant component of the CENELEC process.

A range of adaptations can be made on the basis of the environmental conditions that were analysed during the trials. Whether it concerns special structural situations, rail profiles, substructures, sleepers, vehicle's electromagnetic environment, unusual wheel flanges, bogie geometries or magnetic track brakes, Frauscher components offer ample scope for all eventualities.

Training programmes

Training programmes

Individual training programmes are a way of communicating essential expertise in relation to Frauscher products. With correct installation and relevant basic knowledge of the functionalities and operation of the system, a minimal level of maintenance is guaranteed. In addition, this ensures the high level of availability of the products.

Relevant workshops are also held at a choice of locations, either on a customer's premises or even at the Frauscher company headquarters, where we have a modern, large-scale training centre that can accommodate up to 30 people. All the Frauscher components are in place there to provide a “hands on” experience.

Mounting and commissioning

Mounting and commissioning

All components of Frauscher axle counter, wheel detection systems and wheel sensors can be mounted, adjusted and commissioned quickly and easily, without the use of special tools.

With appropriate training and using clear installation documentation, the operator’s installation and maintenance personnel will be able to carry out all the required work themselves.
