Less stringent safety requirements

The FAdCi system has been specially developed for use for less stringent safety requirements. This means a cost-effective type of the latest generation of axle counters is available for simplified operational conditions.

This axle counter fulfils all requirements in accordance with the CENELEC standards up to SIL 3 and has been designed for use at speeds up to 80 km/h.

Full functionality

The FAdCi also provides all the benefits offered by the basic model: Functional modularity, easy scalability in conjunction with the optional software or hardware interface, as well as the greatest flexibility in terms of configuration for a variety of requirements.

In addition to train detection, a large variety of further diagnostic information and data is generated in a wide range of applications.

The outdoor equipment is composed of the sensor, mounted on one of the running rails, the trackside connection box and the cables that connect them. As is the case with all Frauscher axle counting systems, this equipment is also based on the Frauscher RSR180 and RSR123 wheel detection systems. Frauscher wheel sensors are mounted on one of the running rails easily, quickly and without the need for drilling, using rail claws. This reduces the time spent by personnel in a hazardous area to a minimum.

The data from the sensor are transmitted to the indoor equipment. This is where the AEBi evaluation board of the FAdCi takes over both the evaluation of the information supplied by the sensor as well as the counting of axles. Data generated in this way are transmitted to the communication board. This provides the acquired data to higher-level systems via various interfaces.

The FAdCi is characterised in particular by efficient software interfaces. System integrators have the opportunity to implement the Frauscher Safe Ethernet FSE without using their own software protocol. Alternatively, customer-specific protocols can also be integrated. It is also possible to use hardware interfaces such as optocouplers or relays to connect existing systems.
