The compatibility of family and career is a high priority at Frauscher. The average age of 31 years in the workforce at St. Marienkirchen near Schärding underlines the importance of this issue. The fact that employees with children receive a great deal of support here is also reflected in the recently won certificate for family-friendly employers.

Focus on families

On 28 January 2020 a delegation of Frauscher, consisting of Ralf Linkamp, CFO, Verena Einböck, HR Manager, Nicole Hückel, Internal Communications and Doris Wallner, Subsidies, received the certificate from Federal Minister Christine Aschbacher in the Aula der Wissenschaften in Vienna. "It has always been very important to us to accommodate employees with families as far as possible. The audit process that we have now gone through gave us the opportunity to structure and expand the existing offer. As a first step, we have combined already established measures in the newly founded LOKOclub", Einböck sums up. It was named after LOKOlino, the mascot of the in-house family programme. "In this framework we can clearly communicate our diverse range of offers to existing and new employees. LOKOclub members never miss information and events, such as the family cinema in the canteen or various excursions where the company contributes to the costs," she explains.

Childcare

At the same time, Frauscher's family services have been expanded by a significant milestone, explains Einböck: "One of the most important issues in the area of conflict between work and family is of course childcare. Since 2016, we have been offering a well-attended holiday childcare facility, the LOKOcamp, together with the Kinderfreunde every summer. In addition, with LOKOcare, we have now created a year-round care for children from 6 months to 12 years. The rooms for this are located directly on the company premises and were specially converted for this purpose. This facility perfectly complements the previous offer and became the heart of the project during the audit process".

Further growth expected

All in all, Frauscher is expecting further growth in the number of employees in the coming years. The newly founded company Frauscher Sensonic will contribute to this development. "All programs are completely free of charge for the employees of Frauscher Sensortechnik and Frauscher Sensonic. We thus offer our staff in St. Marienkirchen an attractive and sensible overall package and are pleased that its quality has now been awarded the certificate for family-friendly employers," summarizes Einböck.
