On Tuesday, 29 June 2021, the 27th Export Day of foreign trade Austria took place. Austria's largest information and networking event on the topic of export and internationalisation was held as a virtual event and came to a festive conclusion with the presentation of the Export Awards during the Exporters' Nite.

Frauscher is particularly proud to have won the 2021 Gold Export Award. "One of the most important pillars of the Frauscher philosophy is to be close to all our customers worldwide - to understand the customer's culture and to speak the customer's language. By receiving the Export Award 2021 in Gold, we are underlining our ability to live up to our own aspirations and successfully strive for excellence, responding to the specific requirements of different markets around the world," explained CEO Michael Thiel at the award ceremony, which took place in the presence of Chamber of Commerce President Harald Mahrer and Federal Minister for Digital and Economic Affairs of Austria Margarete Schramböck at the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna.

Despite the COVID 19 crisis, Frauscher was able to increase sales by 5% in 2020. While the market share in Australia and China could be significantly increased, Frauscher India celebrated its most successful economic performance since the establishment of its presence in the country. According to Thiel, the fact that all required delivery times were met also contributed to this. "We are particularly proud of this, as delivery bottlenecks caused great difficulties for a significant number of companies worldwide last year."

With the award of the Export Prize, Michael Thiel and his team have reaffirmed their perceptions about starting a digitalisation offensive in the company, years prior to the onset of the pandemic. "In the more than 30 years of the company's history, Frauscher has constantly developed and actively dealt with forward-looking technologies and trends. We were able to achieve the aforementioned successes not least through the ad hoc switch to online customer meetings and training as well as factory acceptance with the help of local sites."

The CEO also accepted the Export Award on behalf of all employees. "Thanks go, of course, to all our highly qualified and dedicated employees who have contributed significantly to this successful financial year. It is not least because of successes like this that Frauscher is valued as a reliable and innovative know-how carrier and partner in the railway industry."
