Please join M.C. Dean and our colleagues from Frauscher North America as we discuss a joint Yard Automation project for MTA Baltimore. This Yard Automation system utilizes axle counters, and has been in operation since 2016. The goal of this project was to upgrade the manually operated switches in the yard to increase productivity and safety, as well as to add capabilities such as switch protection and storage track management. We will present technical details of the system integration, and discuss our collaborative experience in this successful project.
