For over a decade, Frauscher India has been deeply committed to understanding and serving the unique needs of the Indian rail market. What began in 2013 as a vision to bring modern, reliable train detection solutions to one of the world’s largest rail networks has today evolved into a strong, localised presence that is driving innovation across main lines, freight corridors, and metro systems.
India’s railway infrastructure is as vast as it is complex. At Frauscher, we are convinced that true progress comes from a deep understanding of local requirements, paired with the ability to deliver globally proven solutions.
By combining global know-how with regional insight, we deliver tailored solutions that support the Indian market's vision of a digital, efficient, and future-ready railway system. With more than 30,000 detection points already commissioned and systems deployed in all major railway zones as well as over 12 metro projects, our solutions are helping create a more reliable and robust rail network across the country.
Frauscher India has not only scaled in presence but also in capability. Today, the site delivers over 3,000 detection points per month – a number made possible through strategic investments in production and process optimisation. Expanded testing capacity, streamlined workflows, and lean production practices are enabling us to respond faster and more flexibly to customer demand. In alignment with the ‘Make in India’ initiative, we continue to strengthen local manufacturing and reinforce our contribution to a self-reliant industrial ecosystem.
At the heart of Frauscher India’s success lies a dedicated, professional, and passionate team. From regional offices to our Mysore factory, over 220 employees across the country work each day to deliver excellence – not only in technology but in service, support, and customer relationships. To honour this spirit, we recently came together to celebrate our 12-year journey – a moment to reflect, appreciate, and look ahead. Our team’s energy and commitment are what drive every milestone.
