Technical Sales Engineer

The Technical Sales Engineer supports the Sales team by providing technical solutions throughout the sales process, from lead generation to order booking. They engage with customers through presentations and events, ensuring product offerings align with client needs and company standards. Additionally, they collaborate with product management and maintain CRM systems to enhance customer satisfaction and sales outcomes.

 

Responsibilities & Duties


▪    Support Sales team technically in all phases from lead generation to order booking.
▪    Support Sales team by providing suitable technical solution to customer requirements.
▪    Providing complete technical solutions for customer requirements.
▪    Presenting the products and solutions to customers, operators in meetings, exhibition, events, webinars.  
▪    Keep up to date with customer and operator requirements by maintaining regular communications with key stakeholders.
▪    Understanding and actively promoting the current and new products and solutions.
▪    Responsible for handling products demonstration for all events.
▪    Liaison with Product Management team to get and maintain the product approval process as required.
▪    Be the technical single point of contact for all customer enquiries, supporting Order Processing team for preparating the quotation.
▪    Confirming technical compliance of all quotations to meet customer requirements and Frauscher product requirements.
▪    Maintaining documents and checklists for all project quotes & handing over to Project Engineering, Order Processing, Application Engineering teams.
▪    Keep the internal CRM systems up to date as required (accounts, contacts, appointments, forecast, etc.).
▪    Participating in exhibitions and events actively and bring value to the company.
▪    Be aware of the Quality Management System and understands the responsibilities towards it.
▪    Other tasks and responsibilities as required.

 

Skills/Experience


▪    Basic knowledge of railway signalling
▪    Understanding of UK Railway market (desirable, but not essential)
▪    Good MS Office skills
▪    Familiar with tools like ERP and CRM
▪    Project management skills (desirable, but not essential)
▪    Excellent communication skills
▪    Proactive and result driven
▪    Strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
▪    Positive attitude with all interactions

 

Qualifications & Licences


▪    Degree in Engineering 

 

Other Requirements


▪    Business travel up to 50% of the time with overnight stays
