basic information

Good to know about Frauscher

The Frauscher headquarter in Austria is located in St. Marienkirchen, a small community with approximately 1,900 inhabitants. St. Marienkirchen is part of the so-called “Innviertel”, one of the four quarters of Upper Austria. The cultural heritage of this region is very rural and still a lot of farms and smaller villages can be seen around Schärding, the capital of the district.

The website of the community is available in German only.

Pharmacies and doctors

In Austria, pharmacies are marked with a red sign (above).

You can find information about the next pharmacy on duty here.

The "delphin" pharmacy is located next to the city center of Schärding.

Note: most pharmacies are closed around lunchtime (between 12pm und 2pm) and on a Saturday after 12pm. You have to look up, if there is one available for emergency cases. For some special medication, you need a doctors’ prescription.

For minor issues you can visit the local doctor at St. Marienkirchen, Dr. Johannes Hochhauser:

Also here, please know that there are limited surgery times.

There is also a general hospital in Schärding. For more information visit the website of the hospital (available in German only). You should go to the hospital in case of urgent emergencies only.
